In December, India’s cotton yarn exports reached the monthly peak in the past three years, reaching 122,800 tons (under HS: 5205), a month-on-month increase of 11.03% and a year-on-year increase of 34.93%. In the 2021/22 fiscal year (August-December), India exported 583,000 tons of cotton yarn, a year-on-year increase of 30.41%. Currently, Bangladesh (38.88%) and China (20.61%) are still India’s main cotton yarn exporters, with a total share of 59.49%.
