On the afternoon of May 10, Yuan Jianlong, executive chairman of the Henan Textile Industry Association, was invited by Zhongyuan Institute of Technology to give a speech on the “Development Current Situation of the Textile Industry in the New Era” academic report. The report was conducted via online video, with more than 250 teachers, students and business people participating.
Yuan Jianlong mentioned several aspects in the report: First, the positioning, prospects, responsibilities, and achievements of the development of China’s textile industry, as well as the development status of Henan’s textile industry; he also analyzed the new development ideas of the textile industry in the United States and Germany. The second is that Henan Province has established the textile and garment industry in the “double-length system” of the provincial advanced manufacturing cluster industry chain and implemented “six major actions”, namely, innovation and strong chain action, digital chain integration action, transformation and chain extension action, and diversified chain stabilization action. Actions, investment promotion and chain-replenishing actions, and ecological chain-blocking actions. This will enhance the core competitiveness of key clusters and industrial chains, and promote the great leap forward and development of Henan’s textile industry. The third is to combine the current situation of Henan’s textile industry and elaborate on the new momentum and new business formats discovered by Henan’s textile industry. The fourth is to describe the necessity of deep integration of digitalization and Henan Textile. The fifth is the application scope of 3R (reduction of raw materials, reuse, and item recycling) under the dual-carbon economy. Sixth, students are encouraged to start from the basics, learn entrepreneurial thinking and the spirit of gratitude, strive to become textile inheritors, and become a new generation of people who make a difference.
After the meeting, participants all said that President Yuan Jianlong’s speech was very exciting, comprehensive and forward-looking, and they benefited a lot.
