In recent years, my country’s industrial design has developed rapidly. The scale of the industry has expanded year by year, innovation capabilities have continued to improve, and design results have continued to emerge. However, it is inconsistent with the promotion of high-quality economic development and the construction of a modern economic system. Compared with the requirements, my country’s industrial design still has problems such as insufficient basic research and lagging public service capabilities.
In order to improve the support system for industrial design innovation and development, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology formulated the “Guidelines for the Establishment of the National Industrial Design Institute” and carried out the establishment of the National Industrial Design Institute.
Recently, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology announced the list of 11 companies to be selected for the second batch of National Industrial Design Research Institute cultivation, among which Zhejiang Modern Textile Industry Research Institute is the Representatives from the textileprinting and dyeing industry were selected.

Establishment of the National Industrial Design Institute
On July 5, 2018, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology proposed to create a number of industrial design public service and research institutions, build a network of industrial design institutes covering different regions and industries, and ensure and promote the high-quality development of the manufacturing industry.
