India exports 10,000 tons of cotton yarn

In October, India exported 116,600 tons of cotton yarn (under HS: 5205), a month-on-month decrease of 0.43% and a year-on-year increase of 36.47%. In the 2021/22 fiscal year (August-October), India exported 349,600 tons of cotton yarn, a year-on-year increase of 29.74%. At present, Bangladesh (36%) and China (24%) are still India’s main cotton yarn exporters, accounting for a total of 60%.
