Turkmenistan Arzuw News Network reported on November 17 that a textile factory in Turkmenistan’s Ahal Region was completed and put into operation on the same day. Turkmenistan President Gurbanguly Berdimukhamedov attended Commissioning ceremony.
The textile factory costs US$151 million and can produce 3,300 tons of yarn, 20 million square meters of fabric, and 3.5 million sewing garments annually. It will create 1,150 jobs. . This project is an important step in upgrading Turkmenistan’s textile industry, which will enhance the industry’s export potential and product competitiveness, and increase product variety.
