On February 2, 2021, Health Canada announced a recall of baby pants made in China.
The recalled product is GagouTagou baby girl tights. The product comes with buttons and is available in pink, gray, and black. The sizes are 3-6M, 9-12M, 2T, and 3T. The model numbers are GTQ07162LBC, GT06161LBC, GTQ06162LBN, and GTQ07162LNB.
The buttons of the product may fall off, posing a risk of suffocation to the baby.
The products recalled were sold in Canada in August and September 2020, with approximately 1,479 units sold.
On January 29, 2021, it was reported that a 9-month-old baby’s pants button came off, but there was no report of suffocation.
Health Canada recommends that you stop using this product immediately and return it for a refund.
