In 2021, focusing on the development requirements of “high-quality development of the industry, high-quality services of the association, and high-level improvement of the team”, the association has done a lot of work on key and difficult points in the industry through professionalism and concentration, in-depth cultivation, innovation and change. , successfully completed various tasks throughout the year and received recognition from all parties. In 2021, the association was rated as a national advanced social organization by the Ministry of Civil Affairs, a national advanced collective in the textile industry by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security and the China Textile Federation, and the party branch of the association was rated as a national advanced grassroots party organization by the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China. All achievements are the result of the joint efforts of all members and the secretariat under the guidance of China Textile Federation.

At the meeting, Li Guimei summarized the work of the China Association of Industry and Commerce in 2021 and introduced key tasks in 2022 from five aspects.
First, strengthen party building and gather industry development forces. The Party branch of the association has deeply promoted the “two informatization” construction, formed the branch’s “five classics and five latitudes” working method, continuously improved the quality of party building work, strengthened the team of party members, innovated the form of party building work, strengthened the party’s overall leadership over the industry and the association, and promoted the high level of the industry. Quality development and high-level construction of the association play a prominent role in political leadership and organizational guarantee.
Second, pay attention to the operation of the industry and strengthen confidence in the development of the industry. Li Guimei made a detailed introduction from the aspects of total fiber processing volume, economic benefits, industryexport, and enterprise direct reporting data. In 2021, my country’s total industrial textile fiber processing volume reached 19.385 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 1.2%. The medical and health industry has developed rapidly and has become the largest application field of industrial textiles in my country. The recurrence of the epidemic in 2022, coupled with the impact of adverse factors such as rising structural costs, will bring greater pressure to the development of the industry. In response to the actual situation, the association has recently carried out two large-scale online surveys in the industry to provide timely feedback to enterprises, industries and government departments on the real situation of the industry. The industrial added value of the industrial textiles industry returned to positive growth from January to April this year, but the downward pressure on the economy has increased. Regarding the industry’s full-year operation in 2022, according to the association’s research, geotechnical and construction textiles, filtration and separation textiles, and special textile companies are relatively optimistic about the full-year operating expectations, while medical and sanitary textiles, Companies in sub-fields such as nonwovens and threads and tapes have more cautious expectations for the full year. Facing the current complex and severe development environment, the industry should strengthen its confidence in development, appropriately adjust the pace of investment and production, and strive to expand new markets and new applications.
Third, improve infrastructure and enhance industry service capabilities. The “Guiding Opinions on the High-Quality Development of the Industrial Textiles Industry” jointly issued by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the National Development and Reform Commission has boosted confidence in the industry. Facing the new trends and new needs of industry development during the “14th Five-Year Plan”, we will actively study industry policies and technology development trends. Through industry chain research, the release of core technology catalogs and industry chain maps, we will actively promote the preparations for the establishment of the National Advanced Technology Textile Innovation Center and guide the high-quality development of the industry. At the same time, it actively reflects demands and regulates order, and guides the green and sustainable development of the industry.
Fourth, improve platform construction and enrich industry service content. Actively promote the construction of multiple platforms such as public service platform, information promotion platform, science and technology service platform, standard service platform, industrytalent platform, and international exchange platform.
Fifth, carry out various activities to extend the industry service chain. The association held a total of 2 international conferences and 11 professional and technical forums throughout the year. The fifth member congress was held and the replacement of 8 branches was completed. The new council has driven the entire industry to work hard, unite and forge ahead, and jointly create a new development situation for my country’s industrial textiles industry.
Regarding the work in 2022, Li Guimei said that the association will overcome the challenges brought by the epidemic, strengthen internal construction, and continuously improve its online and offline member service capabilities. Carry out industry work under the guidance of party building, actively do a good job in government docking and top-level design, vigorously promote industry science and technology work and green and sustainable development work, constantly improve platform construction, and provide comprehensive services to member companies.
At the meeting, the work report and financial report of the association, the proposal to establish the medical and health branch, as well as the association’s vice president, executive director, director adjustment and co-election plan were reviewed and approved. At the same time, Duan Shoujiang, vice president of the China Industry Association, released the 2021 mid-term plan at the meeting.specific measures. In the face of cyclical difficulties, we must realize that we are no longer just providing products and services, but also providing choices and means for consumers. Industry leading companies must use both innovation and efficiency to deal with risks, and dare to lead while following and running together; associations must reflect advanced, efficient, and coordinated innovation elements in their allocation.
To overcome structural difficulties, enterprises must “fight hard” to do so. As the global market dies or enters pan-globalization, and the COVID-19 epidemic reshapes the global industrial layout, the industrial and supply chains will undergo tremendous changes. The mismatch between supply and demand will become the biggest challenge, the shortage economy will become history, and the business model will change from tangible products to , services, to the buyer’s market of traditional Internet carriers, to the credit market of social media and intangible assets, business thinking and business opportunities are increasingly irrelevant to the accumulation and history of enterprises, and the advantages of new market entrants are even greater obvious. Existing enterprises can only start by reducing costs through technology and seeking changes through innovation, maintain strategic focus, consolidate their roots and cultivate their talents, insist on stock optimization, incremental adjustment of structure, compress non-core businesses and non-core categories, optimize agile production, and streamline organizational levels. Only by reducing investment in production capacity, controlling costs and maintaining cash flow can we achieve nirvana and be reborn. To overcome structural difficulties, the industrial textiles industry must start from the three dimensions of height, depth, and breadth to achieve high-end, extensive and infinitely substituted system capabilities, and continue to gain innovative application advantages, quality brand advantages, deep dominance advantages, and global manufacturing Network advantage.
Without a heavy burden to move forward, how can there be peace in the years! The current development of the industry is still in a period of important strategic opportunities.
