China will handle export subsidy prosecutions filed by the United States and Mexico against China at the WTO in accordance with WTO rules

On December 19, the United States and Mexico requested consultations with China under the WTO dispute settlement mechanism on so-called subsidy measures related to export performance. The head of the Department of Treaty and Law of the Ministry of Commerce said in this regard that China has always respected the rules of the WTO organization and opposed trade protectionism. China will handle the consultation requests from the United States and Mexico in accordance with WTO rules.
