The Cambodian Ministry of Labor stated that a total of 5,262 employees from 29 companies including garment factories and tourism industries who have stopped working will receive salary subsidies from the Cambodian government. The ministry has transferred $40 per month to each worker and employee through Wing (Cambodia) Limited Specialized Bank.
Each worker will receive 60% of the minimum wage, a flat rate of $70. Of this amount, $40 comes from the government and $30 comes from factory employers.
