Thailand releases draft regulations on synthetic dyes in fabrics

On February 5, 2021, Thailand issued notification No. G/TBT/N/THA/590-594, announcing the draft regulations on synthetic dyes in fabrics. The responsible agency is the Ministry of Industry of Thailand. Standards Association. The draft involves direct dyes, reactive dyes, vat dyes, sulfur dyes and acid dyes among synthetic dyes, and stipulates the safety requirements, packaging, marking and labeling, sampling and qualification testing procedures for the aforementioned substances. Each draft has a 60-day comment period.
