The Arab News Agency reported on April 20 that Dubai Customs data showed that the total trade volume of masks and gloves in Dubai in the first quarter of 2020 reached 65.7 million dirhams (17.9 million U.S. dollars).
The mask transaction volume in the first quarter reached 60.5 million dirhams ($16.5 million), which is almost equivalent to the total transaction volume in 2019 of 63.5 million dirhams ( (total US$17.3 million). The total import volume was approximately 40 million dirhams ($11 million), the total export volume was 3.4 million dirhams ($926,000), and the total re-export volume was 17 million dirhams ($4.6 million).
In addition, the trade volume of medical gloves in the first quarter reached 5.2 million dirhams ($1.41 million), of which the import value was 4.67 million dirhams ($1.27 million). .
Customs authorities said that in order to meet the growing demand for masks and medical gloves, the department has taken further measures to promote the trade flow of such products.
