On April 1, 2020, Health Canada announced a recall of Chinese-made children’s pajamas.
The recalled products are 9 two-piece sets of children’s pajamas from SportingLife. Pajamas are made of 100% cotton and are available in sizes suitable for children aged 8-18 years old, for both men and women.
This product does not meet federal flammability standards for children’s pajamas and poses a burn hazard to children. Loose pajamas will burn quickly if they come into contact with a fire source, causing extensive burns on children’s bodies.
The products recalled were sold in Canada from November 2018 to February 2020, with approximately 1,153 units sold.
No accidents or casualties have been reported so far.
Health Canada advises consumers to stop using the product immediately and contact the company for a full refund.
