Tajikistan’s import and export of textile raw materials and textile products grows

Tajikistan’s Avista News Agency reported in Dushanbe on March 30 that according to statistical data, the industrial output value of Tajikistan’s textile and sewing sector increased by 50% in the first two months of this year. Mainly due to the increased production of socks, lint, and cotton yarn. During the same period, the export value of textile raw materials and textile products was nearly US$45 million, an increase of 60.1%; of which, the export value of lint cotton reached US$31.6 million (accounting for more than 70%), an increase of 67.4%. The import value of textile raw materials and textile products was approximately US$11.1 million, an increase of 57.9%.
