On the afternoon of February 17, a “Chengdu-Xinjiang-Europe” China-Europe freight train loaded with printing equipment completed customs clearance inspection at the Horgos Port in Xinjiang and was about to be sent to Poland. , this is the 61st China-Europe train to depart from Horgos Port since February this year. On February 15, a China-Europe freight train carrying 850 tons of cotton yarn raw materials entered the country smoothly through Alashankou Port.
We learned from Urumqi Customs that due to the impact of the new coronavirus epidemic, most imported China-Europe freight trains have been suspended or delayed for a short time since late January this year. The number of trains has been significantly reduced. During the epidemic prevention and control period, Xinjiang customs, railways and other departments implemented paperless customs transfer operations and implemented “on-site entry and instant review” of inspected goods to reduce the customs declaration workload of enterprises as much as possible.
At the same time, in addition to the safety inspection items that must be implemented at the port, other items should be transferred to the destination for inspection as much as possible to speed up the customs clearance of China-Europe trains.
Dou Luxin, deputy director of Horgos Customs, introduced that during the epidemic prevention and control period, the customs carried out boarding inspections on all trains to strictly prevent the spread of the epidemic through the ports and ensure the smooth operation of the trains. The shipment will arrive at the port on the same day and customs inspection and release will be completed on the same day.
Since January this year, more than 730 China-Europe freight trains have entered and exited at Horgos Port and Alashankou Port. The export goods are mainly mechanical and electrical products, clothing, and department stores. , electronic products, etc. The imported goods are mainly cotton yarn, building materials, etc.
