Bangladesh garment factory gets green building certification

According to the “Daily Star” report on May 26, a total of 90 garment factories in Bangladesh have obtained the Energy Environmental Design Certificate (LEED) issued by the United States Green Building Council (USGBC) , 24 of which have obtained LEED Platinum green building certification. The green building selection not only helps Bangladesh reshape the country’s image. Green technology can reduce energy use by 40% and water consumption by more than 30%. Green buildings mean reducing carbon dioxide emissions, thereby protecting the environment and ensuring a safe workplace for employees.
