According to statistics, in the past four weeks, the price of 20S coarse yarn in Pakistan has increased by 6.75%, which is lower than the nearly 10% increase in cotton prices during the same period. The gross profit margin of spinning mills has gradually declined, especially the gross profit of fine spinning yarn has dropped significantly. Currently, demand from domestic spinning mills in Pakistan is rising, and cotton prices in Pakistan continue to remain strong. The spot price of Kachira has increased by 50 rupees in the past seven days to 8,850 rupees per maund.
At the same time, the international market demand has been insufficient in the past few weeks, and the price of Pakistani cotton yarn has continued to remain very stable. Among them, the CNF export price of 30S pure cotton coarse count yarn has remained stable at 3.25 US dollars/kg. It is expected that as the rupee continues to depreciate, which will benefit exports, Pakistan’s textile and clothing exports will be boosted this year.
