According to data released by China Customs, in US dollars, the cumulative exports of textiles and clothing in the first three quarters were US$207.77 billion, a year-on-year increase of 4.6% (the same below), continuing to maintain steady growth, and the growth rate was slightly larger than that in the first half of the year. Among them, textile exports were US$89.29 billion, an increase of 10.5%, and clothing exports were US$118.48 billion, recovering from decline and returning to growth of 0.6%. In September, textile and clothing exports were US$26.61 billion, an increase of 12%, of which textile exports were US$10.6 billion, an increase of 18.2%, and clothing exports were US$16.01 billion, an increase of 8.3%. The decline in clothing exports eased in September and rebounded, which together with textiles drove rapid growth in overall exports.
In RMB terms, the cumulative exports of textiles and clothing in the first three quarters were 1.35034 billion yuan, a decrease of 0.6%, of which textile exports were 579.34 billion yuan, an increase of 4.7%, and clothing exports were 771.0 billion yuan, a decrease of 4.2%. In September, textile and clothing exports were 181.95 billion yuan, an increase of 14.6%, of which textile exports were 72.45 billion yuan, an increase of 20.8%, and clothing exports were 109.5 billion yuan, an increase of 10.8%.
