Bangladeshi garment workers receive Eid al-Adha wages in full

According to a report by Bangladesh’s “Daily Star” on August 21, the Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) stated that all member companies of the association have completed the payment of wages to workers for Eid al-Adha. Business owners have also adopted phased vacation measures for workers to alleviate the traffic congestion problems faced by workers returning home. But there were also some small-scale riots demanding timely payment of wages, such as a riot at a factory in Ghazipur.
