In April, Pakistan exported textiles and clothing to US$1.233 billion, a decrease of 2% from the previous month and a decrease of 29.11% from the same period last year; exports of cotton yarn were 21,600 tons, a decrease of 7.82% from the previous month and a decrease of 11.24% from the same period last year; exports Cotton cloth was 28 million tons, down 5.7% month-on-month and 14.58% year-on-year.
In the 2022/23 fiscal year (July 2022-April 2023), Pakistan’s exports of textiles and clothing reached US$13.71 billion, a year-on-year decrease of 14.17%; exports of cotton yarn were 193,900 US dollars tons, a year-on-year decrease of 31.16%; exports of cotton cloth were 286 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 21.08%.
