On November 11, 2016, the European Commission’s Rapid Alert System for Non-Food Products (RAPEX) issued a consumer warning (alert number: A12/1461/16) on the Chinese-made “GoodChildren” brand children’s sports suits. The notifying country in this case is Bulgaria. The product notified this time is a children’s suit consisting of blue trousers and a hooded sweatshirt, suitable for children aged 7 years. The sweatshirt has text printed on it. The style/model of the product is Art.NoYJ-37. Barcode unknown. The Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development industry classification code (OECDPortalCategory) (OECDPortalCategory) is 67000000-Clothing (clothing).
The drawstring on the hood of the above-mentioned suit may get entangled during children’s activities and cause injury. This product does not comply with the requirements of the relevant European standard EN14682.
At present, the Bulgarian authorities have taken measures to delist the above products.
