According to a report by Vietnam’s “Investment News” on October 10, the Vietnam Textile Association (Vitas) report showed that Vietnam’s textile exports in the first nine months of 2016 were approximately US$21.11 billion, a year-on-year increase of 6%, completing 68% of the annual plan.
According to reports, in the first nine months of this year, Vietnam’s textile exports to TPP member states and the EU grew at a low rate or even decreased. According to Vitas, textile exports in 2016 will be US$28-29 billion, an increase of 5% from 2015, making it difficult to achieve the annual export target of US$30-31 billion. At the same time, to achieve annual exports of US$29 billion, the average monthly exports in the three months at the end of the year must be at least US$2.5 billion. Vietnam’s textile exports in the first nine months were US$21.1 billion
