According to the RIA Novosti news agency, Eurasian Economic Commission Trade Commissioner Nikishina said that all member states of the Eurasian Economic Union, including Russia, have approved an agreement on trial labeling of fur clothing, which will take effect on August 12. The purchase, storage, use, transportation and sale of non-artificial fur clothing without electronic labels is prohibited within the Union.
For example, after fur products enter the Russian market, the state tax police will conduct random inspections, confiscate fur products without electronic labels, and even force the closure of their stores in Russia. At the same time, Russian consumers will also scan through mobile phone software. If you find relevant problems, you can report them to the relevant departments. In addition, the electronic labels are purchased by Russian fur importers. Chinese fur processing companies are only responsible for sewing the electronic labels on relevant fur products and are not responsible for purchasing the labels.
Some experts estimate that currently in the Eurasian Economic Union market, 70% to 85% of fur garments are smuggled and imported without paying customs duties, or are produced in underground factories within the Union without paying corresponding domestic taxes.
