On August 1, 2016, the United States International Trade Commission (USITC) launched the third anti-dumping sunset review industrial damage investigation into polyester staple fiber (polyesterstaplefiber) originating in South Korea and Taiwan. Examine whether the substantial damage caused by the import of the products involved to the U.S. domestic industry will continue or reoccur if the anti-dumping measures are lifted.

Stakeholders should submit responses to the above announcement to the U.S. International Trade Commission no later than August 31, 2016, and submit comments on the case no later than October 14, 2016.

On May 25, 2000, the U.S. Department of Commerce officially began to impose anti-dumping duties on polyester short fibers imported from South Korea and Taiwan. On September 30, 2011, following the affirmative final ruling of the second anti-dumping sunset review on the products involved imported from South Korea and Taiwan, the United States continued to impose anti-dumping duties on the products involved.
