Vietnam imports lint tons

In May 2016, Vietnam imported 88,387 tons of lint cotton, of which 58,352 tons were imported by foreign textile companies. The import volume in that month decreased by 12% compared with the same period last year (2015.05) and was lower than the import volume in May 2014. Chinese and American cotton accounted for the highest proportion of imported cotton in that month, with 51,464 tons, followed by Indian cotton with only 7,679 tons, and the rest were Brazilian cotton and West African cotton.
