Iran will ban clothing imports today

Iran’s Bultan News Network reported on May 18 that Iran’s Minister of Industry, Mines and Trade Rahmani stated at a meeting on the 16th that the import of clothing and household appliances would be banned this year. He said: “Goods that can be produced domestically should not be imported. In the last fiscal year, our import volume dropped by 22%. This year we will continue to ban 142 types of goods.”
