From January to April 2013, my country exported 5,000 tons of silk products, a year-on-year decrease of 1.75%, and the average unit price was US$43.7/kg, a year-on-year increase of 15.33%.
The top five markets by export volume are: India, Pakistan, Italy, Japan, and Vietnam, with market shares of 30.23%, 13.99%, 11.98%, 11.82%, and 5.66% respectively. Exports to Italy, Japan, and Vietnam increased by 46.19%, 2.11%, and 30.96% year-on-year respectively, while exports to India and Pakistan decreased by 5.02% and 20.91% year-on-year respectively.
The top five major exporting provinces and cities in terms of export volume are Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Shandong, Guangdong, and Sichuan, with market shares of 28.14%, 28.1%, 10.65%, 9.69%, and 7.79%.
In April, my country’s silk commodity exports were 1,196.67 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 3.86%. The average unit price was US$44.9/kg, a year-on-year increase of 22.2%. The export value was US$53.6839 million, a year-on-year increase of 17.48%.
