I am fortunate to have met some practitioners and developers in the polyurethane industry, and have also participated in some projects. I have found that PUR is really great. No, it has so many advantages that current epoxy resins cannot be compared with unsaturated systems. Its good mechanical strength, good toughness, superior fatigue resistance, odorless and other advantages deeply attracted me. Therefore, I firmly believe that polyurethane will bring more possibilities and development to composite materials, and I look forward to more applications being promoted and used. It will also leave a strong mark on its contribution to the composite materials industry.
Although it still requires a relatively harsh environment and production process, I believe that as the technology continues to mature and the process is optimized in the near future, these difficulties will be solved.

Polyurethane certainly has many advantages that the epoxy system cannot match with the unsaturated system, but it also has many shortcomings:
