On August 4, 2010, Health Canada and Paris Geneve Company jointly announced a voluntary recall of Chinese-made “Disney Princess” children’s pajamas.
The recalled “Disney Princess” children’s pajamas are a 2-piece set, blue, 100% cotton, the top is a T-shirt, with “Bayou Dreams” marked below the Disney Princess pattern on the front, and dark blue butterflies on the pants. Printing, specifications are 4X, 5X, 6X. CA code 10611, RN code 94006 and “manufactured by Paris Geneve” are marked on the collar tag. The children’s pajamas were sold at The Bargain Shop in Canada from March to July 2010.
The number of products recalled this time is about 690 sets. The reason for the recall is that Health Canada smoking test results showed that the pajamas did not meet Canadian standards for flame retardancy for children’s pajamas. To date, neither Health Canada nor Paris Geneve has received any reports of incidents.
For this reason, Health Canada recommends that consumers immediately keep the recalled pajamas away from children and contact the retail store for a return and full refund.
