In the cotton fields of the Lesheng Planting Professional Cooperative in Letuyi Town, Manas, Xinjiang, three high-power tractors equipped with Beidou navigation systems are performing cultivating, chemical control and other tasks according to preset routes. This year, the cooperative’s planting machines harvested 50,000 acres of cotton, and a total of 12 high-horsepower tractors were installed with the Beidou navigation system. The cotton field management was more accurate and efficient, and the overall cotton growth was good.
Ma Tao, head of the Lesheng Planting Professional Cooperative in Letuyi Town, said: “During chemical control operations, these large horsepower can achieve precision and efficiency without errors, and do not ginning cotton seedlings. These large horsepower are matched with the latest sprayers. The sprayer atomizes the pesticides evenly, thus reducing the amount of pesticides used. Each spraying per mu of land can save about 2-3 yuan in cost.”
