From January to April 2013, my country exported 112 million pieces (sets) of silk clothing, a year-on-year increase of 78.24%, and the export volume was US$431 million, a year-on-year increase of 24.22%.
The top five export markets are the United States, Hong Kong, Japan, Malaysia and France. Among them, exports to Malaysia showed huge year-on-year growth; exports to the United States and Hong Kong increased by 0.81% and 9.96% respectively; exports to Japan and France decreased by 4.43% and 2.08% respectively.
The top five provinces and cities in terms of export volume are: Zhejiang, Guangdong, Jiangsu, Shanghai and Fujian. Among them, Fujian increased significantly by 322.37% year-on-year, Zhejiang and Jiangsu increased by 0.73% and 6.19% respectively; Guangdong and Shanghai decreased year-on-year respectively. 24.35% and 16.94%.
In terms of average export unit price, Shanghai has the highest price, which is US$23.48/piece (set), a year-on-year increase of 19.93%; Fujian has the lowest, which is US$1.84/piece (set), a year-on-year increase of 36.02%.
In April, my country’s silk clothing exports were 38.8443 million pieces (sets), a year-on-year increase of 128.48%; the export volume was US$121 million, a year-on-year increase of 55.6%.
